Open Question: What are some good cars for High School teenagers?

I want to be buy a car and i just want to know what some good cars i should search for. I'm going to be a sophomore and my mom wants me to drive to school so i would like for you guys to please give me some ides for cars for me now that i'm in High school. Im not rich so i can't get like a BMW. even though i would like. i really like Honda Civic, Mazda 3 cars like that. I also like SUV cars. I want a small to medium car. I don't really want a truck but if you can find me one at a good price then yea. I would also like the car to be no older than 2000. also not so pricey, nothing more that would cost me 6,000 to 7,000. Just give me some ideas for cars and if you can help me out with websites even better. Thank-You so much. I already checked out craigslist. P.S.
