Open Question: Souping up a mazda 626?

Hey, my friend bought a mazda 626 for 400 and its a piece of crap, he gave it to me and i was wondering what i should do to it... i want to make it into a street racer but dont know what parts i should get...i have exp in fixing cars, and have plenty of money to burn so basically i can replace everything under the hood....anybody have any ideas on what i should get and what i need to make this thing zoom?...
